Here&#8217;s a sampling of the stuff I didn&#8217;t get around to!<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Why <a href=\"http:\/\/www.city-journal.org\/html\/rev2007-04-13fs.html\" target=\"_blank\">modernist architecture <strike>failed<\/strike> generally sucks<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>* * *<\/p>\n<p>A <a href=\"http:\/\/www.affdoublethink.com\/archives\/2007\/04\/15\/whats_your_stor_6.php\" target=\"_blank\">profile of Jane Galt<\/a>, evidently not written by Reggie Miller&#8217;s sister.<\/p>\n<p>* * *<\/p>\n<p>Anne Applebaum on &#8220;competing&#8221; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.slate.com\/id\/2164333\" target=\"_blank\">protests in Moscow and Kiev<\/a>. I actually plan to write more about this subject, because of the intriguing problem for Russian protesters of trying to raise popular discontent when the standard of living is on the rise. I&#8217;ll get back to this one.<\/p>\n<p>* * *<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.businessweek.com\/autos\/content\/apr2007\/bw20070419_522031.htm\" target=\"_blank\">armored Rolls-Royce<\/a>, for when you&#8217;re important but don&#8217;t give a damn about rollinng incognito.<\/p>\n<p>* * *<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.slate.com\/id\/2164517\" target=\"_blank\">Ron Rosenbaum on the Skymall catalogue<\/a>. The official VM wife has considered that upside-down tomato garden on more than one trip.
