It&#8217;s a nice treat, getting out before the weekend traffic, even if it&#8217;s just to get some shopping done or get home early.<\/p>\n<p>Today, I stopped off at a comic shop on the way home, to pick up the new issue of <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Buffy_the_Vampire_Slayer_Season_Eight\" target=\"_blank\">Buffy: Season 8<\/a> for Amy. I hadn&#8217;t been to a comic store for a while &#8212; probably since the last issue &#8212; so, even though I&#8217;m in a cash crunch for the next month or so, I browsed the recent releases.<\/p>\n<p>It was then that I realized the comics gods were taunting me.<\/p>\n<p>It wasn&#8217;t enough that I found a new book by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/1596431423?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=virtualmemories-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325&amp;creativeASIN=1596431423\">Eddie Campbell<\/a>. Above and beyond all that, I found <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/1893905624?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=virtualmemories-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325&amp;creativeASIN=1893905624\">Comics Gone Ape<\/a><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.assoc-amazon.com\/e\/ir?t=virtualmemories-20&amp;l=as2&amp;o=1&amp;a=1893905624\" style=\"border: medium none  ! important; margin: 0px ! important\" border=\"0\" height=\"1\" width=\"1\" \/>, a book about the history of primates in comics. Presumably, it will include the great <a href=\"http:\/\/yeoldecomicblogge.blogspot.com\/2006\/08\/greatest-comic-ever.html\" target=\"_blank\">Jimmy Olsen: Gorilla Reporter<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Clearly, the comics gods want me to go broke.
