That addition <a href=\"http:\/\/www.andrewcusack.com\/blog\/2007\/09\/the_architects.php\" target=\"_blank\">really does suck ass, however<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>* * *<\/p>\n<p>For what it&#8217;s worth, I&#8217;ve <a href=\"http:\/\/www.moreintelligentlife.com\/node\/194\" target=\"_blank\">never been in an MFA program<\/a> and my alleged novel is about a topic of which I&#8217;m almost completely ignorant.<\/p>\n<p>* * *<\/p>\n<p>Herbert Muschamp, the <em>NYTimes<\/em>&#8216; architecture critic, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2007\/10\/03\/arts\/design\/04muschamp.html\" target=\"_blank\">died this week<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>* * *<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.businessweek.com\/bwdaily\/dnflash\/content\/oct2007\/db2007103_038148.htm\" target=\"_blank\">worst business deals<\/a> ever (with <a href=\"http:\/\/images.businessweek.com\/ss\/07\/10\/1004_worst_mergers\/index_01.htm\" target=\"_blank\">slideshow<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>* * *<\/p>\n<p>Ron Rosenbaum writes about how <a href=\"http:\/\/www.slate.com\/id\/2175248\" target=\"_blank\">journalism can get back to its roots<\/a>, which won&#8217;t happen since most major magazines are owned by media conglomerates (which is to say, stories won&#8217;t explicitly get spiked, but editors will &#8220;know better&#8221; than to run certain articles\/profiles).<\/p>\n<p>* * *<\/p>\n<p>I haven&#8217;t read it yet, but here&#8217;s an <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tcj.com\/index.php?option=com_content&amp;task=view&amp;id=667&amp;Itemid=48\" target=\"_blank\">excerpt of an interview with Roger Langridge<\/a>, who made some of my favorite comics of the past 20 years (not <em>Knuckles the Malevolent Nun<\/em>, which the interview-segment seems to focus on).<\/p>\n<p>* * *<\/p>\n<p>Raise the value of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ft.com\/cms\/s\/0\/f3ef4c12-712d-11dc-98fc-0000779fd2ac.html\" target=\"_blank\">dollar against the euro<\/a>?
