In fact, they may&#8217;ve been awarded already. I&#8217;m not really sure, because I don&#8217;t give a crap about awards.<\/p>\n<p>But, so, hey, I came across a link to this <a href=\"http:\/\/www.abebooks.com\/books\/pulitzer-prize-fiction-award-novel\/past-winners.shtml\" target=\"_blank\">AbeBooks list of the Top 10 Forgotten Pulitzer Prize-Winning Novels<\/a>, and guess what?<\/p>\n<p>I haven&#8217;t read a single book on this list! In fact, I haven&#8217;t read any <em>other<\/em> work by any of the authors on the list, except for one!<\/p>\n<p>That would be Steven Millhauser, because David Gates recommended one of his books to me. This recommendation was from our first conversation a dozen years ago, and I realize now that I never actually read more than a couple pages of that book, although it looked promising.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/0679766529?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=virtualmemories-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325&amp;creativeASIN= 0679766529\">Edwin Mullhouse: The Life and Death of an American Writer 1943-1954 by Jeffrey Cartwright<\/a><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border:none !important; margin:0px !important;\" src=\"http:\/\/www.assoc-amazon.com\/e\/ir?t=virtualmemories-20&amp;l=as2&amp;o=1&amp;a= 0679766529\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" \/>, and now that I think about it,\u00c2\u00a0 it might make a good post-Salinger read for me.
