Also, started Plutarch&#8217;s life of <a href=\"http:\/\/penelope.uchicago.edu\/Thayer\/E\/Roman\/Texts\/Plutarch\/Lives\/Timoleon*.html\" target=\"_blank\">Timoleon<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><em>What I&#8217;m listening to:<\/em> My iTunes library, on shuffle. I&#8217;ve been working at home a lot (keeping an eye on Rufus), so I haven&#8217;t been driving much. Hence, not much music.<\/p>\n<p><em>What I&#8217;m watching:<\/em> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt0041090\/\" target=\"_blank\">Adam&#8217;s Rib<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt0307479\/\" target=\"_blank\">Solaris<\/a> (Soderbergh, not Tarkovsky), and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt0411477\/\" target=\"_blank\">Hellboy II: The Golden Army<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><em>What I&#8217;m drinking:<\/em> Miller&#8217;s &amp; Q Tonic, and Bardolino Chiaretto 2007 ros\u00c3\u00a9.<\/p>\n<p><em>What Rufus is up to:<\/em> Recovering faster than we could&#8217;ve hoped, and back to his full (1- to 1.5-mile) walks! If he gets his endurance up by next weekend, we&#8217;ll take him out for a Sunday grey-hike!<\/p>\n<p><em>Where I&#8217;m going:<\/em> Nowhere. It&#8217;s a thrilling life, I tellsya.<\/p>\n<p><em>What I&#8217;m happy about:<\/em> That my wife, half-watching this trailer on <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.dallasobserver.com\/unfairpark\/\" target=\"_blank\">Robert Wilonsky&#8217;s<\/a> <em>Ultimate Trailer Show<\/em> (which really should have its own website), perked up after a few seconds and said, &#8220;Oh, it&#8217;s the other guy from that <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm0726200\/\" target=\"_blank\">Peter Riegert<\/a> movie!&#8221; Which would be <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt0085859\/\" target=\"_blank\">Local Hero<\/a>. Which would be yet another reason why I love her so.<\/p>\n<p><object id=\"ordie_player_5e43430c4d\" classid=\"clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000\" width=\"480\" height=\"400\" codebase=\"http:\/\/download.macromedia.com\/pub\/shockwave\/cabs\/flash\/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0\"><param name=\"flashvars\" value=\"key=5e43430c4d\" \/><param name=\"allowfullscreen\" value=\"true\" \/><param name=\"allowscriptaccess\" value=\"always\" \/><param name=\"src\" value=\"http:\/\/player.ordienetworks.com\/flash\/fodplayer.swf\" \/><param name=\"name\" value=\"ordie_player_5e43430c4d\" \/><param name=\"quality\" value=\"high\" \/><\/object><\/p>\n<p>Also, we took one look at this movie &#8212;<\/p>\n<p><object classid=\"clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000\" width=\"480\" height=\"292\" codebase=\"http:\/\/download.macromedia.com\/pub\/shockwave\/cabs\/flash\/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0\"><param name=\"allowFullScreen\" value=\"true\" \/><param name=\"allowscriptaccess\" value=\"always\" \/><param name=\"src\" value=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/pIexG8179K8&amp;hl=en&amp;fs=1&amp;\" \/><param name=\"allowfullscreen\" value=\"true\" \/><\/object><\/p>\n<p>&#8212; and she said, &#8220;It&#8217;s your boyfriend, Sam Rockwell!&#8221; Oh, and she took care of Rufus for a few hours on Saturday while I went out, ran some errands, and had a little time alone.<\/p>\n<p><em>What I&#8217;m sad about:<\/em> That Timoleon had to let his friends kill his brother Timophanes. (Seriously: Plutarch&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/penelope.uchicago.edu\/Thayer\/E\/Roman\/Texts\/Plutarch\/Lives\/Timoleon*.html\" target=\"_blank\">story of his life<\/a> is just amazing, especially when he gets to the segment about Dionysus the younger&#8217;s post-tyrant life in Corinth.)<\/p>\n<p><em>What I&#8217;m worried about:<\/em> That I&#8217;ll go ever stir-crazier, working at home.<\/p>\n<p><em>What I&#8217;m pondering:<\/em> Whether <a href=\"http:\/\/mickael-pietrus.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Mickael Pietrus<\/a> is lying about being French and is actually from <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Easter_Island\" target=\"_blank\">Rapa Nui<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What I&#8217;m reading: Finished Tatsumi&#8217;s Good-Bye collection, and holy crap did he turn dark in 1971-2!
