I could&#8217;ve sworn I posted this one shortly after Ernesto Sabato&#8217;s death on April 30, but there&#8217;s no sign of it anywhere on the blog!<\/p>\n<p>The files were posted on the morning of May 4, but there&#8217;s no sign of the post I must have written to link to them! In fact, a pal of mine <a href=\"http:\/\/bourgeoissurrender.blogspot.com\/2011\/05\/exercise-at-writing-real-post-again.html\" target=\"_blank\">cited the podcast<\/a> on his blog on May 14! Grar! I&#8217;m really hoping that other posts haven&#8217;t gone missing, too!<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, here&#8217;s what you need to know about the time I posted this piece:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>It was a few days before Amy &amp; I went north of the border for the <a href=\"http:\/\/torontocomics.com\" target=\"_blank\">Toronto Comic Arts Festival<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>It was after the weekend of the royal wedding and the Bin Laden hit.<\/li>\n<li>Sabato had died <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/news\/world-latin-america-13248749\" target=\"_blank\">a few days earlier<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>No, I didn&#8217;t get around to recording any interviews at TCAF.<\/li>\n<li>I like <a href=\"http:\/\/pattygriffin.com\" target=\"_blank\">Patty Griffin<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Anyway, here&#8217;s episode 3 of Virtual Memories Radio (<a href=\"http:\/\/chimeraobscura.com\/vm\/images\/podcasts\/vmep3.mp3\" target=\"_blank\">mp3<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/chimeraobscura.com\/vm\/images\/podcasts\/vmep3.m4a\" target=\"_blank\">m4a<\/a>). It&#8217;s about 10 minutes long and recorded in several different locations in my house, so the audio has some jumps in quality.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m planning to record a new one this weekend, but it&#8217;ll be another solo joint.
