A self-taught artist, his first published works documented the disorienting hell of his salad days in an \u201cillustrated autojournal\u201d called JIM. This work was published by Fantagraphics Books and was recently collected in a single edition called <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/1606997521\/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325&amp;creativeASIN=1606997521&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;tag=voyantpublishing&amp;linkId=N5K6W2YGHAOJXCO2\">JIM<\/a><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border: none !important; margin: 0px !important;\" src=\"http:\/\/ir-na.amazon-adsystem.com\/e\/ir?t=voyantpublishing&amp;l=as2&amp;o=1&amp;a=1606997521\" alt=\"\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" border=\"0\" \/>.<\/p>\n<p>He is best known for his wordless comics series depicting the follies of his character Frank, a generic cartoon anthropomorph whose adventures careen wildly from sweet to appalling.
