Last business-trip of the year, dear readers! I’m off to San Diego for the AAPS conference! I managed to get two suits, a second pair of shoes, and a third day’s business attire in my carryon case! Sure, they’ll be a bit compressed by the time I get to my hotel, but at least I won’t have to stand around at baggage claim!

yeah – Armistice Day – 11/11 at 11 a.m. – for me it’s still “Poppy Day” – I wonder if they still all wear poppies in their lapels in England
They were still wearing lapel-poppies when I was in Canada on Armistice day, back in 2002.
In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
