InterRude

No big changes today. I carried Rufus upstairs last night, so we could all sleep in the master bedroom, rather than downstairs in the rec room / library. This morning, he managed to amble down the stairs on his own, which was great. Been working at home today, making sure he doesn’t try to nibble on his wound, watching him sleep, and of course taking a funny picture of him:

  1. I’m glad to see his funny face and to read that he’s doing better. I normally read Amy’s site, but have been following his recovery. I really think these guys handle this sort thing better than their humans do. My brother-in-law’s golden was hit by car about two years ago and shouldn’t have survived. The vets had to reconstruct one of his back leg joints and hip area, and while it looked pretty horrific and weak, he didn’t seem fazed by it. Less than two weeks after being home he was up walking around, trying to sneak up stairs and play like nothing had happened. I hope Rufus’ recovery continues to stay on track!
