Rufus on Roofies?

I’m almost done with my Top Companies issue! Rufus, as you can see, is thrilled by this news: It’s like I give him knockout drops or something.

What It Is: 6/29/09

What I’m reading: Plutarch’s life of Aemilius Paulus, and a little of The Hunter, a Richard Stark (Donald Westlake) book. But I’m in the home-stretch for my Top Companies ish, so I’ve just been reading a lot of SEC filings, analyst reports and various pharma-bloggers. What I’m listening to: A whole ton of Michael Jackson [...]

(UPDATE: Summamabitch! sanofi got revenge on me! I was about 80% of the way through its profile, for an issue that goes to [...]

Lollygagging around

Oh, sure! You can take it easy, while I’m slaving away over these darned pharma-profiles! You’re lucky you’re so cute!

What It Is: 6/22/09

What I’m reading: Plutarch’s lives of Timoleon and Aemilius Paulus, and Seth’s amazing comic about Canadian designer Thoreau MacDonald (it’s in an anthology called Kramers Ergot 7). Reading that strip after his George Sprott and Wimbledon Green books (the latter of which I reread on Saturday), it struck me just how much Seth’s work has [...]

Night, Sleep, Death and the Stars

Time Lapse Round One from Sean Stiegemeier on Vimeo. Hat tip: Caroline Flyn at The Browser. (She posts a lot of wonderful links, but I don’t think she has a blog of her own at this point.)
