Holy crap. I chaperoned the school’s prom last night, and my age hit me: in almost 3 hours of music only one song was played that I recognized: Billie Jean by the artist formerly known as very rich. I never imagined that anyone could dance wihtout playing something from the 50’s, 60’s, or 70’s, but it’s indeed possible. I was so desperate at the end that when the dj shouted out to the kids “what do you want to hear” I responded with “Free Bird.” God, I’m old.
