I recall my first Laker flight, Newark to London – unbelievably many passengers were angry that their $135 one-way fare did NOT include food –
of course I brought my own sandwich (which my Jewish mother had taught me to do even on flights promising 3 full meals!) –
and of course we remember well our $39 each-way Laker flights to Florida –
