the computer looks great. The girls’ haven’t had much of a run on it as we didn’t unpack it until right before shabbat. I created 4 different users now, so they won’t complain about stuff missing, etc. BTW: if I add a program to my user identity, can I export it to them or must I download it multiple times?

I don’t have experience with multiple user accounts on a single machine, but I can’t imagine that it would require multiple copies of the same program.
One thing I did notice: one of the girls had photo booth open and another later on wanted to have a video chat, but the OS wouldn’t allow it until we shut down the program in the other user’s account
Well, that’s probably because the camera is a specific resource accessed by both programs.
