I would like to send that article to all of my Christian–Catholic, really–fundamentalist cousins, aunts, and uncles … except they wouldn’t speak to me any more because the fact their “personal relationship” with Jesus might be a personal relationship with a figment of their imaginations is more important than their relationship with their actual flesh and blood.
