Toront0-fer

In honor of our mini-vacation to Toronto, this week’s literary 0-fer is . . . Margaret Atwood! She was born in Ottawa, but it looks like her formative years were spent in Toronto and I’ve never read a word she’s written!

And I have read some work by Robertson Davies (I think just Fifth Business; I really oughtta read that whole Deptford trilogy sometime), so he’s out.

  1. I read a peice of “Surfacing” by Margaret and the opening pages of “Teh Blnd Asssassin” but there’s something about her that just does ring true for me. I doubt I’ll ever get through one of her books either. Her compatriot, however, Alice Munro is an astonishingly good writer.
