Unrequired Reading: May 22, 2009

Memorial day weekend! I may be filled with sadness, guilt, rage and oversolicitousness because of my dog’s grievous wounds, but that’s no reason you shouldn’t have some links to get you through the weekend. Just click “more”!

I can’t make this up: the passenger next to me on last night’s flight was reading this VF article on Captain Sullenberger and the USAir Hudson River crash-landing during our takeoff.

Will no one think of the molybdenum-99 supply?

I meant to post this a while ago: I feel kinda sorry for people whose idea of a pickup move is to show off the cover of the books they’re reading, but that’s only because the books I read would drive women away in droves. Which is to say, thank gosh I’m not single.

That said, I’m not reading Tom Robbins’ books. (A bonus 0-fer for you!)
