About our Host
Man, is he tired. But here’s the short-ish version:
Gil Roth is the host, producer and creator of The Virtual Memories Show, a weekly cultural conversation podcast that he launched in 2012. He’s also the President of the Pharma & Biopharma Outsourcing Association (PBOA), a nonprofit trade association he launched in 2014 to represent contract development & manufacturing organizations in the drug/vaccine sector. (CDMOs helped save the world during the pandemic, and he’s proud of that work.) Shortly after turning 50, he took up drawing and painting. He was diagnosed with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL) in 2021, but it seems to be leaving him alone. He lives in New Jersey with his wife, photographer Amy Roth, and their greyhound, Bendico. He made an About Me page last year; maybe you should just go read that.

Most of the guests submitted their own audio files or left a message on my Google Voice phone number: 973-869-9659. The conversation with Kate Lacour was recorded remotely via Zencastr. I used a Heil PR-40 Dynamic Studio Recording Microphone feeding into a Zoom PodTrak P4. All processing and editing done in Adobe Audition CC. Photo of me by me. It’s on my instagram.
